…my favorite for the fall.

With the exception of a handful of labels such as Etro (pictured above), the upcoming fall season looks like it is going to be a a big yawn for menswear. Most of the uninspiring designers fall into one of two camps.
The first of the two is focusing on sporty and minimalist knits and synthetics (see Figure A, which is screaming shitty mid 90’s). The second camp of designers are recycling the whole boho/tech/gypsy thing (see Figure B), which, admittedly was interesting when Balenciaga did it for women a year ago. However now it just feels tired and contrived.
Lucky for us, Etro has put together what it maybe my favorite collection for the fall. It is fun and adventurous without sacrificing wearability. My favorite Etro look of the four pictured above is the bottom left. Now if I could only scrounge up an extra $2000 dollars….

Ohh! I want the outfit of the top right BUT WITH the coat of the top left instead of the red one.
THEN I would feel well-groomed.
i do enjoy the superb fag/ette vibe of the top 4 pictures, however, $2000? this is why i hate fashion name brand whoring. one could probably get a similar vibe thrifting (if name brand whoring wasn’t involved) and plus, if the fad passes you wouldn’t look like a tacky poser 3 months later!.
